Which HTML control or tag should I use to have functionality like below

Which HTML control or tag should I use to have functionality like below

as the image says I want to have something like horizontal list and I
should be able to select the whole block by clicking on image or text.
Currently I use <table> tag. But I am not able to select anything. Please
suggest me.
